A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter with expertise in applying protective coatings specific standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and apply industrial coatings to components and structures requiring C3 to C5 corrosion protection.
  • Operate a range of spray application equipment, including:
    • Airless spray systems
    • Air-assisted airless spray systems
    • Conventional pressure pot spray guns
  • Mix and apply two-pack coating systems, including epoxy primers, ensuring optimal adhesion, durability, and finish quality.
  • Carry out surface preparation, masking, and finishing activities to a high standard.
  • Inspect completed coatings and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an Industrial Spray Painter within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong practical experience using airless, air-assisted airless, and conventional pressure pot spray equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of two-pack paint systems and epoxy primers.
  • Experience applying coatings for C3 to C5 environmental classifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices.

Working Hours

This role is based on a 40-hour working week, with both day and afternoon shift patterns available:

Days

  • Monday to Friday
  • 6:00am - 2:30pm

Afternoons

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 2:00pm - 12:30am
  • Includes a 20% shift allowance

The business is closed on Bank Holidays and operates a Christmas shutdown period through to the New Year.
