Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and spray finishing a variety of timber windows, doors, and other internal and external joinery products to the highest standards. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare windows, doors, and joinery for finishing, including sanding, filling, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Inspect finished products for defects and carry out touch-ups as required.
- Ensure colours and finishes meet specification and quality standards.
- Operate, maintain, and clean spray guns, spray booths, and associated equipment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use of paints, solvents, and PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.
- Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer in a manufacturing, joinery, woodworking, or finishing environment.
- Experience spraying timber windows, doors, cabinetry, furniture, or similar joinery products.
- Knowledge of paint preparation, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to produce a consistently high-quality finish.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
Desirable
- Experience using spray booths and professional spray equipment.
- Knowledge of timber window and door manufacturing processes.
