Painter & Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. A valid driving licence and good communication skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections before painting or decorating
• Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
• Use a variety of tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and company standards
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
• Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or similar roles
• Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites
• Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and colleagues
• Strong communication skills to interpret project specifications and provide updates effectively
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings
• Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting materials and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders
