Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled, time-served Painter & Decorator to join an active domestic refurbishment project in South Shields. We are partnering with an established residential contractor requiring a precision painter capable of delivering high-quality internal and external finishes across domestic properties.

If you are a Painter & Decorator who takes pride in thorough surface preparation, clean cutting-in, and efficient gloss and emulsion application on domestic builds, we have immediate starts available now.

The Role

• Surface Preparation: Sanding, filling, priming, masking, and preparing timber, plasterboard, and masonry surfaces prior to coating.

• Internal Painting: Applying high-quality emulsion to walls and ceilings, and gloss, satin, or eggshell finishes to skirting, doors, and architraves.

• External Works: Applying weather-resistant coatings to external masonry, window frames, and exterior trim as required.

• Quality & Protection: Ensuring clean lines, consistent coverage, and protecting domestic floorings and client fixtures throughout the job.

Requirements

• CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Painter / Skilled Worker) is mandatory.

• Experience: Proven track record in domestic or residential painting and decorating.

• Tools & Kit: Complete professional painting toolkit (brushes, rollers, scrapers, kettles) and standard 5-point PPE / whites.

• Reliability: High attention to detail, punctual, and respectful when working within residential properties.

• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
