Search Consultancy is recruiting experienced Painters & Decorators for ongoing residential and commercial projects across Newcastle and the surrounding Tyneside region. We are looking for tradespeople who take genuine pride in their craft, work efficiently, and deliver immaculate surface finishes to tight site deadlines.

If you hold a valid CSCS card, have a complete kit of professional decorating equipment, and want reliable weekly work on local sites, we want to hear from you.

Working as part of a busy internal and external finishes team, you will be responsible for high-spec preparation and decoration:

• Surface Preparation: Washing down, scraping, sanding, filling, caulking, and priming timber, plaster, metal, and masonry surfaces prior to finishing coats.

• Internal Painting: Applying mist coats, undercoats, gloss, emulsion, and specialist coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, window frames, skirtings, and staircases.

• Precision Trim & Finish Work: Executing razor-sharp cutting-in lines around architraves, cornices, and sockets without overspray or bleeding.

• External Decoration: Applying durable masonry paints, wood stains, and protective coatings to timber cladding, fascias, soffits, and external metalwork where required.

• Protection & Cleanliness: Masking up glass, flooring, fixtures, and fittings to protect finished surfaces, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace throughout.

To satisfy site entry and safety standards, applicants must possess:

• CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating) CSCS card is strictly mandatory.

• Trade Background: Time-served experience delivering commercial fit-outs, high-spec residential decorations, or void maintenance works.

• Tools & Kit: Full professional decorating kit (brushes, roller sets, poles, scutches, filling knives, kettle pots) and standard 5-point PPE.

• White Workwear: Clean painter's whites and protective work clothing.

• Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.

• Local Tyneside Sites: Centrally located projects across Newcastle and surrounding areas to keep your daily travel minimum.

• Consistent Weekly Income: Full-time hours running Monday through Friday with long-term, multi-phase project continuity.
