We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Panel Beater for their busy bodyshop in Plymouth, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Panel Beater seeking to advance their career within a reputable automotive repair business

Duties of the Panel Beater:
  • Repair or replace vehicle panels, chassis, and structural components, following manufacturer specifications
  • Dismantle and reassemble vehicles with precision, employing jigging, welding, and structural repair techniques
  • Ensure all repairs meet high standards of quality and customer expectations
  • Maintain tools and work area in a safe, clean, and organised manner
  • Mentor and support less experienced colleagues to uphold repair standards
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely progress
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on new repair techniques and technologies
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater with relevant industry background
  • Knowledge of modern repair methods, including aluminium and high-strength steel
  • Familiarity with structural repairs, chassis alignment, and workshop procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with keen attention to detail
  • Understanding of manufacturer specifications, technical bulletins, and repair processes
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
  • IMI Accreditation is desirable but not essential
