We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established vehicle repair centre in Oldham for the position of a Panel Beater. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Panel Beaters or multi-skilled technicians to join a reputable and growing business that values quality workmanship and staff development. Duties of a Panel Beater:
  • Repair and replace panels on a variety of vehicles, including HGVs, vans, and cars
  • Carry out welding and light fabrication work as required
  • Perform bodywork repairs, including filling and finishing
  • Assess vehicle damage and determine effective repair strategies
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and quality targets 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the workshop
Requirements of a Panel Beater:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or multi-skilled technician within vehicle repair or accident repair centres
  • Welding experience is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of body repair tools and techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Relevant qualifications such as ATA, NVQ are desirable; support is available to update or obtain certifications
  • Practical experience working on HGVs, vans, and cars
  • A good understanding of health and safety standards in the workshop environment
