Duties of a Panel Beater:
  • Carry out panel repairs and replacements in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards
  • Conduct quality welding tests and accurately document results
  • Prepare and finish panels using body filler and production paper for a high-quality finish
  • Identify and source additional parts required for repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Protect vehicles during repairs by masking and covering vulnerable areas
  • Store removed parts securely and retain reusable parts appropriately
  • Report any damaged or missing parts promptly to supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with BS 10125 standards and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements of a Panel Beater:
  • IMI or ATA qualification as a Panel Beater or equivalent (preferred) 
  • Proven experience within a bodyshop environment, with a focus on quality repairs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Commitment to high standards of customer service
