We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Technician to join our client's team in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking to advance their career within a reputable accident repair specialist. The successful individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality panel repairs and replacements, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards.

Duties of the Panel Beater:
  • Perform panel repairs and replacements with precision and attention to detail
  • Detect and diagnose additional faults for further repairs
  • Follow repair procedures in accordance with Thatcham, manufacturer, and insurance guidelines
  • Conduct test welds and document results throughout the repair process
  • Prepare damaged areas using body filler and sanding to a high standard
  • Manage parts inventory, including storing reusable parts securely
  • Ensure vehicle protection is maintained throughout the repair process
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety compliance
  • Report any damages or parts needing repair to the relevant departments promptly
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including COSHH requirements
  • Complete repairs adhering to BS 10125 standards
Requirements of the Panel Beater:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within a bodyshop environment
  • Ideally qualified to IMI or ATA standards
  • Strong attention to quality and detail as a Panel Beater
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred
