Hours: 42.5 Monday to Friday Only 

We are looking for an experienced Panel Beater, Structural Panel Beater or Bodyshop Panel Beater to join a growing vehicle repair team in Aylesford. Key Responsibilities of a Panel Beater / Structural Panel Beater

• Carry out vehicle body repairs to manufacturer and industry standards
• Strip and refit vehicle parts where necessary
• Ensure correct panel alignment and adjustments
• Identify and report damage not included in the original job scope
• Assess and report on vehicle structure and paintwork
• Ensure all completed vehicles meet safety standards
• Remove, store and dispose of components, fluids and gases safely
• Complete quality control checks and sign offs at each repair stage
• Follow manufacturer repair methods and make sure they are visible on the job
• Use protective coverings on all vehicles
• Carry out filler repairs to a P180 finish and check for pinholes
• Apply underseal, weld through primers and anti corrosion treatments
• Maintain tools and equipment and report any defects to your line manager

Skills and Experience Required for a Panel Beater / Bodyshop Panel Beater

• Previous experience as a Panel Beater, Structural Panel Beater or similar
• Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience
• Willingness to complete training courses where required
• Full UK driving licence
• Current AOM009 welding certificate or BS equivalent
• Training in MIG braze, spot welding, rivet and bonding
• Knowledge of high strength and Boron steel
• Light MET qualification linked to ATA
• Bonding certification
• Team player with a flexible and can do attitude
• Able to take responsibility and work on your own initiative
