Manchester City Centre | Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH)

£26,000 - £30,000 + Bonus

Are you a Paralegal looking for a role where you can build on your litigation experience, take ownership of your work, and develop your career within a growing law firm?

Our client is a well-established and expanding practice based in Manchester City Centre, specialising in Financial Mis-Selling, Housing Disrepair, Data Breach, Fraud, and Professional Negligence claims.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Paralegal to join their legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that is investing heavily in its future and offers genuine opportunities for progression.

Previous litigation experience is preferred, and candidates who have managed their own caseload will be at a distinct advantage. However, full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop and succeed.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a non-litigated caseload whilst supporting clients throughout the claims process.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload in a professional and commercially effective manner
  • Preparing and submitting claims to defendants
  • Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Conducting legal research
  • Liaising with clients, experts, and third-party stakeholders
  • Drafting instructions to experts and external parties
  • Maintaining accurate case records and client files
  • Delivering excellent levels of client care throughout the process
  • Supporting the wider legal team where required

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • A Law Degree (LLB, BA, MSc or equivalent)
  • LPC, CILEX qualification, or be working towards qualification
  • Previous litigation experience
  • Experience managing your own caseload (desirable)
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Confidence speaking with clients and third parties over the phone
  • Experience using Proclaim or a similar case management system
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
