Due to continued growth and expansion our client is looking to recruit a Business Manager/Paraplanner to join the business.

Role

Business Submission (drive business through)

  • Manage and drive cases on the go, address delays and deal with any admin issues/funds unmatched.
  • Hand off cases to our paraplanning partner and liaise as necessary for additional information / ensure cases are dealt with promptly.
  • Checking Suitability Letters before they are submitted.

Client Servicing

  • Manage withdrawals/encashments, manage any drawdown cases.
  • Ensure all clients have their annual review meetings booked with a view to providing outstanding service and protecting ongoing advice charges.

Business Tracking

  • Estimate IAF projections each month, manage Turnover – business issued correctly, update Business Tracker and track business issued.

Paraplanning

  • Supporting on paraplanning where necessary, including; new money cases / EIS & VCT / IHT planning o Protection (predominantly IHT cases).
  • Undertaking analysis of investment transfers via FE Analytics and preparing transfer proposals.

Project and Business Development Work

  • Undertaking projects to determine where opportunity may lie in the existing client bank.
  • Business Development & Marketing projects surrounding existing or prospective clients.

Training Support and Team Oversight

  • Ongoing training and support to new Associates.
  • Sharing best practices amongst the associates.
  • Work with Operations Manager to share feedback on outsourced partners and technology with a view to improve and enhance the services available to the practice.

Candidate requirements

Essential

  • Experience in Financial Services admin/case management, able to manage cases end-to-end and resolve administrative issues.
  • Product knowledge – Pensions, investments, protection, drawdown, encashments, DB/Final Salary processes.
  • Working paraplanning knowledge – new money cases, transfer analysis, IHT/EIS/VCT familiarity.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail – managing multiple cases, checking submissions.
  • Proactive client-facing communication – chasing and updating.
  • Some experience training/mentoring junior staff and sharing best practice.

Desirable Skills

  • Level 4 diploma or working towards.
  • Working knowledge of FE Analytics and Voyant.
  • Paraplanning experience.
  • Business Development or client-bank analysis experience.
  • Process improvement or operational efficiency experience.

Package

  • Basic salary to £47,000 & Bonus.
  • Hybrid – 4 days in the office during probation; 3 days in-office thereafter.
