Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Paraplanner to join a reputable financial services firm based in Chorley. As a Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in supporting a team of financial advisors in providing top-notch financial planning services to a diverse clientele.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients and work closely with financial advisors to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
  2. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on investment products, financial markets, and tax regulations to provide comprehensive and accurate financial recommendations.
  3. Financial Planning: Prepare detailed financial plans and reports, considering various factors such as retirement planning, investment strategies, insurance coverage, tax optimization, and estate planning.
  4. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all client files and documentation are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with industry regulations and company standards.
  5. Investment Portfolio Review: Review and analyse clients' investment portfolios regularly to ensure alignment with their financial objectives and risk tolerance.
  6. Team Support: Collaborate with financial advisors, administrators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional client service.
  7. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements in financial planning tools and methodologies.
  8. Mentoring and Training: Provide guidance and support to junior paraplanners and assist in their professional development.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Paraplanner in the financial services industry.
  • Holds relevant qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, investment products, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
