Shape the Future of Financial Planning with Radiant

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a more varied role that combines technical expertise with direct client involvement?

At Radiant Financial Planning, we're looking for a Technical Assistant to work closely alongside a dedicated Financial Planner, helping to deliver exceptional financial planning experiences for clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the analytical side of financial planning and the people-focused aspects of building strong professional relationships.

You'll play a pivotal role throughout the client journey—from gathering information and supporting meetings to conducting research, preparing recommendations, and helping an adviser stay organised and focused on delivering outstanding advice.

This is more than a technical support role—it's an opportunity to become a trusted partner to a Financial Planner, gain greater client exposure, and further develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

Why Join Radiant?

We believe people do their best work when they feel supported, valued, and part of a positive culture. At Radiant, you’ll benefit from:

Work-life balance: Early finish every Friday at 2:15pm, plus flexible hybrid working, with only one day a week in the office required.

Generous holiday package: 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, plus your birthday off.

Financial security: 4x salary death-in-service cover, up to 5 years income protection, and 5% employer-matched pension contributions.

Health & wellbeing: MediCash benefits including 24/7 GP access, mental health support, and retail discounts.

Professional growth: Ongoing training and career development through the Radiant Academy.

Friendly team culture: Join a collaborative, approachable group of professionals who value both excellence and support.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside a dedicated Financial Planner, you'll be a key part of delivering high-quality financial planning advice and exceptional client experiences. You'll:

  • Assist with the preparation and completion of client fact finds and ongoing client reviews.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the advice process.

  • Attend client meetings with the Financial Planner where appropriate, taking notes, capturing actions, and supporting follow-up activity.

  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, accountants, mortgage advisers, and other professional contacts to gather information and progress cases.

  • Help coordinate and organise the Financial Planner's workload, ensuring actions, reviews, and client servicing activities are completed efficiently.

  • Conduct in-depth research across pensions, investments, protection, and holistic financial planning solutions.

  • Build accurate cashflow models to support client recommendations.

  • Draft bespoke suitability reports and recommendation documents.

  • Support with advice implementation, applications, and compliance processes.

  • Ensure all client records and documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant.

  • Uphold FCA standards and embed Consumer Duty principles in every client interaction.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Paraplanner within financial planning and Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, and personal financial planning.

  • Excellent communication skills with confidence interacting directly with clients and professional connections.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Experience writing suitability reports and financial planning recommendations.

  • Confidence using cashflow modelling software, CRM systems, and financial research tools.

  • A proactive, relationship-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.

  • A desire to continually develop technical knowledge and progress within the financial planning profession.

This role is ideal for an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but would like greater exposure to clients, advisers, and the wider advice process. It's also perfect for someone considering a future career as a Financial Planner and looking to develop their experience through closer involvement in client meetings and adviser support.
