New Forest | £12.73 per hour | 3-4 days per week, including weekends | 9am-3pm
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of Forestry England for a Parking and Site Assistant to support its work caring for forests, wildlife and outdoor spaces within the New Forest.
Do you enjoy spending time outdoors? Are you passionate about forests, wildlife, plants and protecting some of the nation's most treasured natural landscapes?
This is an opportunity to work in one of the UK's most iconic natural environments. As a Parking and Site Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping visitors enjoy the New Forest responsibly while supporting the conservation work that protects its unique habitats, wildlife and biodiversity.
About Forestry England
Forestry England manages more woodland and forest land than any other organisation in the country. From planting millions of trees and restoring habitats to maintaining trails, supporting wildlife and welcoming visitors, its work has a lasting impact on both people and nature.
Income generated through paid parking facilities directly contributes to the care and improvement of these special places. Every visitor who parks in the forests helps support conservation projects, habitat restoration and the continued management of public access across the estate.
The Role
Working within Forestry England's South England Forest District team, you'll help ensure car parks operate effectively while delivering a welcoming and professional service to visitors.
This varied outdoor role combines customer service, environmental stewardship and practical site management. You'll spend your working days within the New Forest landscape, engaging with visitors, supporting compliance within paid parking areas and helping protect sensitive habitats from unnecessary disturbance.
During quieter periods, other general site duties may be required, including site tidying and litter picking.
Whether you're speaking with visitors about the responsible enjoyment of the forest, monitoring parking facilities or helping maintain safe and accessible sites, you'll be an important ambassador for Forestry England and the natural environment it cares for.
