Site Operations Manager - Part-145 MRO

Location: Greater Manchester - Fully onsite
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Discussed upon application

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of an approved aircraft component maintenance facility.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of wheel and brake component maintenance and overhaul. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a specialist workshop team, drive operational performance and shape continuous improvement across the site.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Act as the nominated Part-145 Form 4 Post Holder, ensuring maintenance and production activities meet CAA/EASA regulations, MOE requirements and approved maintenance data.
  • Lead daily workshop operations, overseeing production planning, capacity, resources and customer turnaround targets.
  • Drive operational efficiency through KPI monitoring, workflow optimisation and Lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance, supporting audits, inspections and corrective actions.
  • Lead, develop and support the workshop team, ensuring personnel are appropriately trained, qualified and competent.
  • Work closely with Quality, Safety and other stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and maintain a strong compliance culture.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven management experience within an aviation Part-145 maintenance or MRO environment.
  • Extensive experience in aircraft component maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Part-145 regulations, MOE requirements and maintenance/certification processes.
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams, managing workshop operations and improving productivity.
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities and supporting audits.
  • A strong understanding of aviation safety, quality and SMS principles.
  • Engineering or technical qualifications in aviation, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and ability to apply these to the role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
