F+A are a well-established firm providing professional services to the insurance and legal industry with well over 100 companies listed as F+A’s esteemed clients.
We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Part 2 Architectural Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis in Huddersfield, Yorkshire. The candidate will become part of a friendly and dynamic team with a growing reputation in the industry for the quality of our services.
The role is very varied, interesting and extremely rewarding, being part of building a person’s life by helping them find, adapt or build new, accessible homes. F+A’s list of services includes:
- Property Finding,
- Suitability Assessments of properties,
- Assisting with designing and managing the on-site building process.
This role is for a candidate with a minimum of 1-2 years of practical experience (all in the UK), with strong people skills to accommodate the variation of professionals they will interact with and a good technical understanding and strong design flair. You must live in the UK to apply for this role.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will:
- Working on Projects around the UK
- Working with team members to tight timescales
- Deliver feasibility drawing packages and planning application drawing packages
- Manage the workload of several projects
- Occasional face-to-face discussions with builders, clients and other professionals
Specific Responsibilities and Activities within your role
- At least 1 year in placement at Part 1 level; recent experience is preferable but not
mandatory
- Strong conceptual design and presentation skills
- Excellent organisation and design ability
- Experience in preparing planning application submissions within the UK
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential, along with relevant rendering packages
- Able to work within a busy team and at times unsupervised
- Experience in the residential sector preferred, but not essential
- Current, clean driving licence
