Part Qualified Management Accountant in Perth, Perth & Kinross

Based in Perth, our client is recruiting for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their growing finance team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with employees working three days per week in the office and two days from home. Your New Role

You will join a busy and evolving finance function, supporting a broad range of management accounting, financial reporting, compliance and business partnering activities. This is a varied position that will suit an ambitious, part-qualified accountant looking to further develop their technical accounting skills whilst gaining exposure to regulatory reporting, statutory accounts and commercial finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial records.
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reporting.
• Supporting internal and external audit processes.
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance activities.
• Supporting regulatory reporting requirements within a regulated environment.
• Producing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
• Investigating financial variances and identifying performance trends.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives and finance projects.
• Liaising with both internal stakeholders and external service providers.

What You'll Need To Succeed

Ideally, you will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) with previous experience gained within a management accounting or financial accounting environment. You will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
You Will Also Possess:

• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Experience supporting statutory accounts preparation and audit processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of financial data.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work.

Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
