Part-time Cleaner (5pm-8pm) in Robertsbridge

To ensure that the school premises are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition to provide a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with Claremont’s policies under the direction of the Principal.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and other areas of the school as required.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Empty and clean bins, ensuring all waste is disposed of safely and appropriately.
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, and other consumable supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors where accessible and safe to do so.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is kept in good working order and report any faults, damage, or shortages.
- Follow all school health and safety procedures, including the safe handling, use, and storage of cleaning products in line with COSHH requirements.
- Secure areas appropriately after cleaning to help maintain site security.
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance requirements to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with occasional deep cleaning during school holidays or when required.
- Support the wider facilities team in maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the school site.
- Coordinate and provide handover notes to the evening cleaning team where necessary.
- Liaise with the maintenance team to monitor and coordinate cleaning stock levels.
