Our client is a multi-discipline, full-service Design, Build, Fund and Operate company that is dedicated to the Higher Education sector.  As such they have the longest established and most trusted reputation for delivering next generation education campuses at scale. They have an opportunity for a Part Time Cleaning Supervisor to work as part of an onsite team based in Oxford.    
 
Salary:             £15,316 for 20 hours per week + 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance, pension, cycle to work scheme, as well as access to a company Rewards portal, offering discounts from a variety of retailers, restaurants gyms and more
 
Location:          Oxford
 
Hours:              20 hours a week, ideally 8am - 12pm, Monday to Friday but open to discuss on the hours as there is some flexibility on this
 
As the Cleaning Supervisor you will be managing a team of 7, providing high-quality cleaning services across assigned areas within a campus, ensuring standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety are consistently achieved. 
 
Role responsibilities include (not limited to)
  • Coordinating daily activity, managing effective deployment of cleaning resources across assigned areas ensuring labour and materials are utilised efficiently and work is allocated
  • Maintain accurate information on costs incurred on housekeeping and cleaning activities, monitoring consumables usage and stock levels
  • Regular review of existing procedures in order to increase efficiencies and improve standards
  • Carry out local risk assessments, safety checks and ensuring team compliance with PPE and safe systems at work, promoting a strong safety culture through daily supervision and visible leadership
  • Lead and supervise cleaning operatives, setting clear daily expectations and performance standards
  • Deliver tool box talks and team briefings
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and training of team members
  • Hands on when required, able to provide cover during team absences
 
 
 The successful candidate will have/be  
 
  • Experience supervising cleaning teams in residential, hospitality or commercial environments
  • Experience coordinating rotas and managing daily operational delivery
  • Practical knowledge of cleaning standards and methods
  • Understanding of COSHH and safe systems work
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Proficient in IT (ideally outlook, word, excel)
  • Confident communication skills, able to build strong working relationships
