Part Time Credit Controller

Part-Time Credit Controller (30 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 FTE
Location: Barnsley (office based)

We’re recruiting for a reliable and detail-focused Credit Controller to join a supportive finance team on a part-time basis. This is a fully office-based role in Barnsley, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on finance work, building strong customer relationships, and keeping cash flow running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and maintaining a sales ledger
Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email in a professional manner
Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
Monitoring credit limits and flagging risk accounts
Producing aged debt reports for management
Resolving invoice queries with internal teams and customers
Supporting month-end processes where required

About You:

Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
Strong communication skills and confident telephone manner
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Able to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
Experience with Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar)
