PK Education are looking for a Graduate Teacher / Cover Supervisor to work part-time within secondary schools across Sheffield from September.
This is aimed at graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to gain meaningful classroom experience without committing to a full-time role. It's particularly suited to graduates with a strong academic background who are considering a future PGCE or teacher training route.
You'll work across KS3 and KS4, taking classes through pre-planned lessons and developing the classroom management skills needed for a future teaching career.
The Role- Supervising and delivering pre-planned lessons
- Working with KS3 and KS4 students
- Managing behaviour and keeping students engaged
- Supporting students with their work
- Building valuable secondary classroom experience
- A degree in any subject
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence working with young people
- Professional and reliable approach
- Genuine interest in progressing into teaching
- Previous experience with children or young people is advantageous
