Part-time Health Centre Manager
Term-time only – Maternity Cover
(Required for September 2026 to December 2026)
St Edmund’s College is seeking an experienced and compassionate Health Centre Manager to lead our Health Centre on a job-share basis, providing outstanding medical and pastoral care to our pupils and wider school community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified nursing professional / paramedic to manage and develop the College’s Health Centre, lead a dedicated team of nurses and health centre assistants, and play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our boarding and day pupils
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Health Centre team and daily operations.
- Provide high-quality nursing care, first aid and emergency treatment.
- Support pupils with acute and chronic health needs.
- Oversee medical records, medication management and healthcare protocols.
- Promote health education and preventative healthcare across the College.
- Work closely with pastoral, boarding and safeguarding teams.
- Manage the Health Centre budget and ensure compliance with NMC, BSA and ISI standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents, local healthcare providers and external agencies.
About You
You will be a registered nurse / paramedic with strong clinical experience, excellent leadership skills and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. Experience within an educational or boarding environment would be advantageous.
The post will involve close contact with, and a high degree of responsibility for, children and young adults. The majority of this will be regulated activity and as such an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
