Your new role

We are looking for a teacher who can bring music to life for learners who thrive with creative, multisensory approaches. You will:

  • Teach Music across a range of year groups, including planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons tailored to students with Dyslexia and SpLDs.
  • Create an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment where all students feel confident to participate and express themselves.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and support students' literacy, memory, and processing skills through music.
  • Contribute to the wider creative life of the school, including concerts, performances, and enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole‑school aims and ensure continuity of learning.
  • Maintain high professional standards in planning, assessment, classroom management, and safeguarding.



What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching Music.
  • Has a passion for working with students with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties.
  • Can deliver creative, differentiated lessons that build confidence and engagement.
  • Has strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging teaching style.
  • Is organised, reflective, and committed to high expectations for all learners.
  • Brings energy, positivity, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.

Experience in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential - training and support will be provided.
