Part-Time Payroll Clerk

Pinxton, Nottinghamshire | Up to £35,000 pro rata | 4 days per week

Astute Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a well-established business based in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire.

This is a hands-on payroll role and looking for someone who is confident managing end-to-end payroll and can take ownership of the process.

The role:

You’ll be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish, including:

• Payroll for around 300+ employees
• Checking time and attendance data and agency timesheets
• Identifying and correcting discrepancies, particularly where employees have worked unusual shifts
• Processing SSP, maternity and paternity
• Holiday calculations and records
• Attachments of earnings
• Dealing with payroll queries
• Ensuring payroll is accurate and processed on time

About you:

You’ll need at least 3 years’ solid payroll experience, with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge.

We’re looking for someone who is confident managing payroll from start to finish and can work independently, with a real eye for detail. You’ll need to be comfortable checking figures, spotting discrepancies and investigating anything that doesn’t look right.

You should have experience with:

• Weekly payroll
• Processing SSP, maternity and paternity
• Holiday calculations and records
• Attachments of earnings
• Payroll queries
• Time and attendance systems and timesheets
• Checking and correcting payroll discrepancies

Sage Payroll experience is essential, and you’ll need to be confident taking ownership of the payroll process and ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time.
