Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a professional, friendly and customer-focused Part-Time Receptionist to join a diverse Front of House team.
Job Overview
This is a straightforward corporate reception role, ideal for someone with previous reception, front of house, hospitality, hotel, concierge or customer service experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional workplace environment.
Working as part of a wider Front of House team, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience for visitors, clients and colleagues. The position has a strong focus on reception and switchboard duties, alongside general administration and workplace support responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues
- Operate the switchboard and handle incoming calls in a professional manner
- Provide face-to-face customer service and assist visitors with enquiries
- Issue visitor and access passes in line with site procedures
- Carry out mail runs and support general post room activities
- Support site inductions for visitors and contractors
- Monitor incoming jobs and requests through the CAFM system
- Manage the Royal Mail business account and associated administration
- Complete general administrative duties and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with the wider Front of House and facilities teams
- Assist with basic porterage and general workplace support
Person Specification
- Previous experience in reception, front of house, hospitality, hotel, concierge or another customer-facing role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable interacting with people face-to-face and handling telephone enquiries
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Comfortable learning and using workplace systems, including CAFM
- Proactive attitude and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a professional workplace environment
