Passive Fire Estimator – Remote UK

PYRA Construction Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Passive Fire Estimator to join an established passive fire contractor.

This is a remote position offering the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of passive fire projects throughout the UK.

The Role

• Price tenders for firestopping and compartmentation packages
• Estimate planned and reactive maintenance contracts
• Complete accurate take-offs from drawings, surveys and specifications
• Build rates covering labour, materials, plant, access and preliminaries
• Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings and client meetings when required
• Provide clear and well-documented handovers of secured projects to Contracts and Commercial teams
• Review completed projects against original estimates alongside the QS
• Feed lessons learned back into future pricing and tendering

Experience & Requirements

• Proven estimating experience within the passive fire protection industry
• Strong technical knowledge of firestopping and compartmentation
• Experience with intumescent systems and fire doors is advantageous
• Understanding of third-party accreditation, fire door standards and current fire safety legislation preferred
• Confident reading drawings and specifications and producing accurate take-offs
• Strong commercial awareness and judgement
• Excellent Excel skills
• Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident speaking with clients, suppliers and subcontractors over the phone
• Full UK driving licence

This would suit an experienced Passive Fire Estimator looking for a remote position with a salary of up to £60,000, working across a broad range of fire protection projects.
