Salary: £110 - £140 per day depending on experience

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint a Pastoral Assistant. This welcoming school promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment, placing a strong focus on student wellbeing, behaviour support and emotional development throughout the school community.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Pastoral Assistant on a full-time basis starting ASAP. The successful Pastoral Assistant will be responsible for supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to manage behaviour, improve attendance, provide emotional support and build positive relationships to encourage student engagement and progress.

The successful Pastoral Assistant will have:

Experience working with secondary age students in a school or similar setting

Strong behaviour management skills

Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, resilient and proactive approach

A genuine passion for supporting young people
