TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream middle school in Redditch that is looking to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Manager. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to succeed both academically and personally through high expectations and strong pastoral support.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Pastoral Manager from September, with the end date to be confirmed. Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, the successful Pastoral Manager will be responsible for parental liaison, safeguarding support, organising and implementing re-focus sessions for students, and providing on-call behaviour support to staff across the school.

The successful Pastoral Manager will have:

• Previous experience working in a pastoral, behaviour or student support role within a school setting
• A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection responsibilities
• Experience supporting behaviour management and building positive relationships with students and families
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to remain calm, resilient and professional in challenging situations
• A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting young people
