Zest Education is working closely with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Dudley, who are looking to appoint dedicated pastoral professionals for both short-term and long-term roles.
We are recruiting for a range of pastoral positions, including Head of Year, Learning Mentor, Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Manager, and Student Support Officer roles. These opportunities are ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The Roles
- Short-term and long-term pastoral opportunities
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Roles may include:
- Head of Year
- Learning Mentor
- Behaviour Mentor
- Pastoral Manager
- Student Support Officer
- Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
- Promoting attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding, and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a pastoral, mentoring, behavioural, youth work, or student support role
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
- Resilient, proactive, and approachable
- Passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
