Role Overview:

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for a Payroll Administrator to be a key part of our friendly People team, who are responsible for a wide range of processes in the employee lifecycle. Willingness to get stuck into all tasks is a welcome attribute, although this role will focus particularly on payroll and also some pensions administration too.

Your role as Payroll Administrator will be to assist the People & Payroll Manager in delivering accurate and timely pay to our circa 600 permanent employees.

This is a great opportunity for somebody with preferably some previous HR & payroll experience. Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected by the remuneration and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Payroll:

  • Assist the Payroll Manager with end-to-end payroll processing
  • Populate payroll information for submission to external provider
  • Assist in ensuring accurate and timely payments are made to employees, in line with payroll deadlines
  • Helping to manage the payroll inbox, attending to routine requests for employee information
  • Assist with preparation of European payroll information

Quarterly Payroll :

  • Download individual salesperson’s quarterly activity from SAP to support the calculation of quarterly commission payments

Other Responsibilities:

  • Send weekly email communications to new starters
  • Prepare & send monthly pensions mail merge for new joiners
  • Helping to manage the pensions inbox and assisting with responses to employees where they request to opt in/out/take a pension holiday etc
  • Develop understanding of payroll legislation to help ensure all processes are compliant
  • Adaptable and positive approach to problem solving.
  • Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in payroll processing, ideally within the technology sector
  • Good understanding of UK payroll legislation, including tax, National Insurance, Auto-enrolment pensions, and statutory payments.
  • Well-organised, with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple payroll tasks and employee queries.
  • Works effectively within a team environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills
