As a Part-Time Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring temporary workers are paid accurately and on time every week. You'll collaborate with recruitment consultants, candidates, and clients to resolve queries and ensure precise processing of all information within tight deadlines.
Your working hours will be 9:00 to 16:30 on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Enjoy hybrid flexibility: work from home on Mondays, and join the team in the Oldbury office on Tuesdays and Fridays. This is a permanent, part-time position, with a pro rata salary of £15,900 per annum (based on a full-time equivalent of £26,500).
Responsibilities- Process weekly payroll information efficiently and within deadlines
- Check and process candidate timesheets
- Chase outstanding and unauthorised timesheets
- Liaise with schools, candidates, and consultants regarding timesheet queries
- Respond to candidate payroll and pay enquiries
- Check hours, rates, and payroll details for accuracy
- Maintain accurate payroll and candidate records
- Update information on internal CRM and systems
- Liaise with umbrella companies and external payroll providers as needed
- Identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll deadlines
- Produce and check payroll reports
- Support the wider administration and recruitment team where required
- Ensure confidential payroll and personal information is handled appropriately
- Previous experience in payroll, finance, or administration
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines under pressure
- Confident in dealing with queries via telephone and email
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience in recruitment, temporary staffing, or weekly payroll is advantageous (training will be provided if needed)
