Payroll Assistant

The Opportunity: 

Elite Search Associates are working in partnership with a leading firm in the Huddersfield area who due to continued expansion,  are seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their busy and established payroll team working on a Part-Time basis for up to 25hrs per week.

This office based opportunity offers the benefit of flexible start and finish times!  The Payroll Assistant role requires previous experience within a similar fast moving payroll processing position, with the ability to process multiple payrolls,  working as part of busy, supportive team.

Your New Role as Payroll Assistant:

• You will  process payrolls from start to finish at multiple intervals i.e. weekly/monthly working closely with team members, working to deadlines via SAGE (training can be provided)
• Responsible for managing your own workload/daily duties (with assistance/supervision from the Payroll Manager as and when required)
• Dealing with SMP/SSP/SPP and auto enrolment pension contributions
• Undertaking any payroll queries in a polite and friendly manner, updating progress via email and telephone, building rapport with colleagues
• Liaise with HMRC, providing RTI 
• Processing of starters/leavers, P45/P46/P60's
• Dealing with CIS returns (training can be provided)

Experience Required:

The role is suited to an experienced and capable payroll professional with high volume payroll processing experience, used to working to deadlines, on their own initiative as well as working as part of a team.  In addition, the successful applicant will possess a "can do" attitude with strong communication, organisation and attention to detail skills.  Knowledge of SAGE payroll (training provided) is preferred,
