Payroll Assistant

The Opportunity:

Elite Search Associates are delighted to work with a progressive and stable company in the Doncaster area who are seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll Assistant to undertake a full and varied role within a friendly and professional team environment.

Your New Role as Payroll Assistant:

You will be undertaking duties for your own payrolls working within a small and friendly payroll team in a busy payroll department, therefore you should have strong payroll experience ideally 4yrs+ in a similar role.  You will be able to work on your own initiative, making daily decisions with the support of the Payroll Manager and other team members to ensure a smooth payroll operation.

Key Duties:

• Responsible for processing multiple interval payrolls both weekly and monthly via SAGE 50 (training can be provided) in a timely and accurate manner 
• Processing and calculation of overtime hours
• Dealing with payroll queries via the telephone and email
• Processing statutory payments
• Processing weekly/monthly Auto Enrolment pension payments to  pension providers
• Dealing with starters/leavers, P45/P46's/P60's
• Set up attachment of earnings orders
• Supporting team members and providing assistance/holiday cover
• SMP/SSP/SPP/SHPP
• RTI and liaison with HMRC regarding tax queries
• CIS (training can be provided)
• Filing of all associated payroll documentation

Experience Required:

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll specialist with strong payroll processing skills dealing with both large and small volume payrolls at multiple intervals i.e. weekly/monthly, who excels in working in a busy, challenging and varied role working to timescales/deadlines.

Salary: to £32K doe + great benefits!
