Your New RoleReporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring that all payrolls are processed accurately and in line with current legislation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Processing end-to-end payroll for a variety of clients across different sectors.
- Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and holiday pay.
- Processing starters, leavers and payroll amendments.
- Managing pension uploads and auto-enrolment administration.
- Processing CIS payments, deductions and submissions.
- Submitting FPS and EPS returns to HMRC.
- Responding to payroll queries from clients and employees.
- Ensuring payroll compliance with current legislation and best practice.
- Supporting other members of the payroll team as required.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a payroll position, ideally within an accountancy practice, bureau or payroll services environment.
- Experience managing multiple client payrolls simultaneously.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Essential CIS payroll experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Payroll software experience and confident IT skills.
