An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fast-growing client based in Warrington. They are currently seeking a Payroll & Business Support Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is a varied position that combines payroll, accounts administration, compliance, and customer service responsibilities, making it ideal for somebody who enjoys a diverse role and takes pride in delivering a professional and accurate service.
You will play a key role within the business, ensuring that both hourly paid and salaried employees are paid accurately and on time, while providing first-class support to colleagues, customers, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple payrolls for various sites, ensuring over 250 employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Handling payroll-related queries including tax, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Carrying out compliance checks to ensure all audit requirements are met.
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding invoices and resolving account queries.
- Assisting with accounts administration and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Producing payroll reports, updating spreadsheets, and preparing management information for the senior leadership team and directors.
- Processing new starter information and ensuring all employee documentation meets compliance standards.
- Liaising confidently with employees, customers, and management to resolve queries effectively.
- Delivering exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Providing general administrative support across the business as required.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong eye for detail.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous payroll, accounts, finance, or related administrative experience.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A professional telephone manner and excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently whilst also contributing as part of a busy team.
