As part of this growth journey, they are investing in their finance function and are now looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll and support the wider development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing for
• Ensuring full compliance with current payroll legislation, tax, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory requirements
• Overseeing statutory payments, deductions, and year-end payroll processes
• Acting as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and management
• Liaising closely with HR to ensure employee data, contracts, and changes are reflected accurately in payroll
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and controls as the business grows
• Supporting compensation and benefits administration where required
• Assisting with audits and ensuring robust record-keeping in line with best practice

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing payroll within a business of similar size or complexity
• Strong, up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Confident working with payroll software and systems
• Compensation and benefits experience would be highly advantageous
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
• Comfortable operating in a finance function that is still evolving, with the confidence to help shape it
