Payroll Officer  Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE
Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered   We're recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a friendly and well-established business in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with payroll bureau or practice experience who enjoys managing multiple client payrolls in a varied role.   The Role   You'll be responsible for processing a portfolio of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK payroll legislation.   Key duties include:
  • Processing end-to-end payrolls for multiple clients.
  • Submitting RTI returns to HMRC.
  • Administering Auto Enrolment pensions.
  • Processing starters, leavers, P45s, P60s, SSP and SMP.
  • Preparing payroll reports and journals.
  • Responding to client queries and liaising with HMRC and pension providers.
  • Supporting year-end payroll processes and maintaining accurate payroll records.
About You   You'll have:
  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
  • Experience managing multiple client payrolls.
  • Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
  • Experience using payroll software such as Paycircle, BrightPay, Sage Payroll or IRIS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
