Payroll Officer in Lichfield, Staffordshire

Transaction Recruitment are supporting a market-leading business based in Lichfield, in their search for an experienced Payroll Officer to join them on a permanent basis. This is a standalone role, taking full ownership of the payroll for c.800 employees. This position offers hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing the end-to-end payroll for c.800 employees, accurately and on time
• Managing starters, leavers and contractual changes, including variations to pay
• Calculating and processing overtime, statutory pay, bonuses and other additions and deductions
• Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance and other statutory deductions are applied correctly
• Handling HMRC submissions and year-end reporting
• Administering pensions auto-enrolment and benefit deductions
• Carrying out payroll reconciliations and checks, and producing reports for Finance
• Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Keeping up to date with legislative changes and maintaining accurate payroll records
