Portfolio Payroll is working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Payroll & Pensions Officer who will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services to a workforce.

This position will support the Payroll Manager and focus on ensuring payroll and pension processes are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with current legislation and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration

  • Support the end-to-end processing of monthly payrolls across multiple payrolls.
  • Maintain and update payroll records including starters, leavers, variations, and statutory payments.
  • Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Process employee benefits such as cycle to work, childcare vouchers, and union deductions.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with PAYE, NIC, and statutory regulations.

Pensions Administration

  • Administer pension schemes including Teachers' Pension, LGPS, and NEST.
  • Manage pension enrolment, contributions, and ongoing administration.
  • Support year-end pension processes and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment and pension legislation.
