My client is a well-established provider within the Powered Access industry, supplying and maintaining a wide range of access equipment nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced PDI Engineer to join our busy workshop team.
The Role:
As a PDI Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is fully inspected, tested, and prepared to the highest standard before being released for hire.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on powered access machinery
- Inspecting, testing, and preparing equipment to ensure full compliance and safety standards
- Identifying defects and completing necessary repairs or reporting issues
- Completing documentation accurately and in line with company procedures
- Ensuring machines are clean, safe, and ready for immediate use
- Supporting workshop engineers where required
- Previous experience in a PDI, workshop, or mechanical engineering role (powered access, plant or material handling)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good mechanical and hydraulic understanding
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- NVQ or equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
