We are representing a reputable car dealership in Horsham seeking a PDI Technician to join their professional workshop team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to advance their career within a dynamic automotive environment. The PDI Vehicle Technician position offers competitive remuneration, flexible working hours, and the potential for high earning through performance-based bonuses.

Benefits of the PDI Technician:
  • Competitive basic salary of £33,000 per annum, with an additional bonus for PDI technicians.
  • £34,000 per annum for PDI technicians holding an MOT licence, plus bonus.
  • Up to £7,000 annual OTE achievable through performance bonuses.
  • Standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Optional overtime paid at time and a half, with minimal weekend work.

Duties of the PDI Technician:
  • Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle systems using standard diagnostic equipment.
  • Preparing vehicles for sale by completing comprehensive pre-delivery checks.
  • Upselling additional repairs or services where appropriate.
  • Assisting with general workshop tasks, including repairs, servicing, and sales preparations.
  • Ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements of the PDI Technician:
  • Proven experience as a PDI Vehicle Technician or similar role within a dealership or workshop environment.
  • Technical competence in vehicle diagnosis and electronic systems.
  • Ability to perform PDI procedures and identify potential faults.
  • MOT licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, efficient work approach.
  • Motivated team player with good communication skills.
