Are you a passionate PE Teacher looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a specialist school this September, where you'll have the opportunity to inspire pupils through engaging physical education while supporting their academic, social and emotional development.

Working within a supportive and nurturing environment, you will deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils across Key Stages 2 to 4, adapting learning to meet a range of individual needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and believes every child can achieve success.

You will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS2 to KS4.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with ASC, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs.
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils' personal development alongside academic achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and ongoing professional development.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Requirements:

The successful PE Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching PE across Key Stages 2 to 4.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with ASC and other SEN.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Resilience, flexibility and a positive, child-centred approach.
  • A SEND qualification (desirable).
