Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a People & Culture Advisor to work closely with managers, providing advice on people practices that develop and maintain positive working relationships across the business at both an individual and team level.
This role will focus on employee relations, smaller organisational restructures and providing general People & Culture guidance in line with established processes and policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting managers to navigate people-related matters confidently and consistently.
The position requires a strong HR generalist background, with the ability to build trusted relationships, coach managers and provide practical advice on a range of employment matters. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside a sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and support managers on employee relations matters.
- Provide guidance on performance, absence, conduct and grievance cases.
- Offer advice on UK employment law, People & Culture policies and processes.
- Support managers with basic TUPE-related matters.
- Assist with conflict resolution and mediation activities.
- Support smaller organisational restructure projects.
- Coach and guide managers to manage people issues confidently and consistently.
- Build strong relationships with managers, employees and wider People & Culture teams while promoting a diverse, inclusive and safety-first workplace culture.
Person Specification
- Strong People & Culture / HR generalist experience.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving, mediation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR processes.
- Effective coaching and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, follow established processes and build trust with stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management capability.
- Ability to provide practical and consistent guidance on employment-related matters.
