People Data & Compliance Analyst

DFDS

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a People Data and Compliance Analyst.

Be part of the movement - and play your part.

About the role

As a People Data & Compliance specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring our people data is accurate, secure, compliant, and used effectively to support business decision-making. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Reward, Talent, and wider business teams to maintain high data standards, deliver meaningful reporting and workforce insights, and ensure HR processes meet statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements.

You will be responsible for

  • Managing and maintaining people data across HR systems, carrying out regular data quality checks, audits, and corrections to ensure information remains accurate, complete, and compliant.

  • Producing regular and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and workforce analytics, providing HR and business stakeholders with clear insights into people trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Coordinating people compliance activities, including workforce and diversity reporting, gender pay gap reporting, right-to-work checks, GDPR requirements, and other statutory or internal obligations.

  • Investigating and resolving data and reporting queries, working collaboratively with HR, Payroll, Reward, Talent, and other teams to identify discrepancies, improve processes, and maintain consistent data standards.

  • Improving HR systems and processes, supporting system testing, upgrades, new technology implementations, reporting automation, governance controls, and the development of clear process documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting and administrative processes using reporting tools, Power BI, Excel, and other technologies such as Power Automate to improve efficiency and accuracy.

About you

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused individual with a strong understanding of people data, HR systems, reporting, and data governance. You’ll be confident interpreting data, identifying trends, and turning information into clear, meaningful insights. Advanced Excel skills and experience creating reports, dashboards, and management information using Power BI are essential, alongside an understanding of GDPR, HR compliance, and data accuracy. Experience of using Power Automate is desirable

You’ll be organised, proactive, and comfortable managing your own workload, with the ability to work towards firm deadlines and take ownership of project-based work. You’ll also enjoy working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and contributing to continuous improvement within a warm and supportive team. Experience in HR, people analytics, compliance, audit, or a data-focused role would be beneficial, while a CIPD or data analytics qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
