The Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Performance Manager to lead the development and implementation of a Corporate Performance and Insight Framework.
Working within the Policy, Strategy and Innovation team, you will work closely with Executive Directors, Cabinet Members and senior stakeholders to ensure the organisation has an effective performance framework that supports strategic decision making, statutory reporting and delivery of the Council Plan.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Local Government performance background who enjoys working across multiple services, driving improvement and using data to influence organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the Corporate Performance and Insight Framework.
- Develop performance measures, KPIs and reporting aligned to corporate priorities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and the Local Government Outcomes Framework.
- Produce high quality performance reports, dashboards and management information.
- Work collaboratively with Digital, Data and service teams to improve reporting capability.
- Provide strategic advice to Executive Directors, Directors and Cabinet Members.
- Lead governance meetings, working groups and programme boards.
- Identify programme risks, dependencies and mitigation plans.
- Develop business cases, programme documentation and communications.
- Support procurement and contract management where required.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience within a Local Authority Corporate Performance or Strategy function.
- Strong knowledge of performance frameworks, KPIs and corporate reporting.
- Experience developing dashboards and management information.
- Ability to analyse complex data and provide meaningful insight.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with senior leadership teams.
- Experience working across multiple Council services.
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools is desirable.
