Permanent Headteacher, Solihull, West Midlands in Solihull

Brava Education is working with a small independent specialist school in Solihull, who are looking for an experienced Permanent Headteacher to lead the school through its next stage of development.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership role within a small specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD and some SEMH.

You will lead the day-to-day running of the school, with a strong focus on school improvement and inspection readiness.

The school needs a leader who will take ownership and lead from the front, setting high standards for both staff and pupils.

About you

• Experience as a Headteacher or Head of School within a small independent special school or alternative provision.
• Experience working with pupils with autism and ADHD.
• Experience of an ISI or Ofsted independent school inspection.
• Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, teaching and learning, SEND, safeguarding, QA and governance.
• Experienced Deputy Headteachers ready for their first headship will also be considered.

Terms

This is a permanent position with a salary of £60,000 to £75,000 per annum 

The start date is January 2027, which allows for a term's notice. An earlier start is welcome for candidates who are available.
