Permit & Certifications Lead
Location: Southam, Warwickshire
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Permit & Certifications Lead to oversee environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, ISO management systems, and quality assurance across a growing engineering and manufacturing business.
You will ensure compliance with environmental legislation, waste management regulations, and ISO standards, while leading audits, maintaining certifications, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permits, regulatory submissions, and compliance programmes.
- Act as the main contact for the Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies.
- Oversee waste compliance, audits, contractor management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 management systems.
- Lead external audits, certification activities, internal audits, and corrective actions.
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams with compliance, quality, and environmental requirements.
- Deliver compliance training and provide regulatory guidance across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance within manufacturing, engineering, recycling, waste management, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, waste management, and permitting processes.
- Extensive experience managing ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 systems.
- Experienced in external audits, inspections, quality management, and corrective actions.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to translate complex regulations into practical business processes.
