Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Pay: £12.71 per hour

MedMart Pharmacy is an online pharmacy primarily providing medication services to care homes. We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly and busy team.

Previous experience working within a pharmacy or dispensary environment is preferred, although we are also happy to consider enthusiastic candidates who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and willingness to learn. Training will be provided, with the opportunity to undertake a recognised pharmacy dispensing course at a later stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing and preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Supporting the pharmacy team with the day-to-day running of the dispensary
• Communicating with GP surgeries regarding prescriptions and medication queries
• Answering telephone calls and dealing with queries professionally
• Using pharmacy and computer systems
• Managing several tasks and priorities within a busy working environment
• Working closely with pharmacists, dispensers and other members of the pharmacy team
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation and confidentiality

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate should:

• Preferably have previous pharmacy or dispensing experience
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be confident communicating with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals
• Have basic computer skills and be comfortable learning new systems
• Be organised and able to multitask effectively
• Have good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
