Pharmacy Technician

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join the NHS on an ongoing temporary contarct based at Royal Blackburn Hospital. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy technician support within the Corporate Pharmacy service.
• Contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective and high-quality medicines management service.
• Support pharmacy activities and services within the Pendle View Unit.
• Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy colleagues and wider clinical teams.
• Ensure medicines-related processes are completed accurately and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Support the safe and effective use of medicines across the service.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate documentation is completed.
• Promote good medicines management practice and contribute to patient safety.
• Work in accordance with NHS policies, pharmacy procedures and professional standards.

Requirements:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience within an NHS or hospital pharmacy environment is desirable.
